Small by design.

Waul is a small Swiss business that makes apps for Atlassian Confluence.

The name

Waul is a short, unmistakably Swiss name. We also use its four letters as a checklist for everything we ship: Well-crafted, At home in Atlassian, Uncluttered, Lightweight.

Our philosophy

    We build carefully, test our work, and keep maintaining and supporting our apps long after they ship.

    Looks and feels like part of Confluence. Nothing new to learn.

    Our apps are built with Atlassian’s own design system: the same buttons, menus and colours your team already uses in Confluence.

  3. Uncluttered

    One job per app. Fewer clicks, no bloat.

    We design around the task people come to do, and leave out whatever gets in its way.

  4. Lightweight

    Fast to load, quick to set up, light on your data: it stays on Atlassian’s infrastructure.

    Our apps run on Atlassian’s own cloud platform, Forge, without servers of our own. Your data stays on Atlassian’s infrastructure: we never copy it elsewhere.
